Every family has their own Christmas tradition. For some it is picking, putting up and decorating a tree together or hanging socks. Now if you want to start a tradition of building a village, the first thing you have to do is to conceptualize. Bring the family members together and start sketching the look of your village. They have to contribute to the overall theme of the village you are trying to build. You have an option to purchase a whole collection of items that you can simply put up or arrange. But this would defeat the purpose of having fun. To spend less on buying separate pieces, another good thing and a creative way to build it is to use recycled materials. In this way, you save up money and encourage your family to be more resourceful and creative.
